The East Coast of Mexico (Yucatan) south of the crowded tourist center of Cancun was still unexploited when I was there in 1992.
I stayed in the small village called Playa del Carmen with its emerald colored sea, some bars and lots of mosquitos...........
Furthermore I visited Mexico City.
