Walter Haynes - "Star Producer"

The name Walter Haynes is still well-known in Country Music, he is still remembered for his work as A&R man and producer who produced a long string of No. 1 hits for Decca and MCA, incl. the smash hit "Satin Sheets" by Jeanne Pruett. Not too many people outside the Steel Guitar Community know that he started his career as musician. He played on the original recordings "We Could" and "Farewell Party" by Little Jimmy Dickens and on "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. His 2003 election into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame honored a wonderful person and great musician!

Walter Haynes is a member of the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame.
