Yellow Submarine

The surrealistic cartoon movie, which was completely under the star of Flower Power of the late 60ies. It was premiered on 17 July 1968 at the London Pavillon. The Beatles themselves were present but hadn't got to do much with the film apart from that. Only in the final sequence they appeared to make a few jokes. The plot is as follows: " Once upon a time - or maybe twice...there was a place called Pepperland." (so far the first lines of the movie) On a peaceful day a concert by Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is interrupted by an attack from the Blue Meanies. The conductor of the Band flees into a Yellow Submarine for a last-minute escape. Under the suburban skies of Liverpool Ringo is seen wandering around in boredom. The sub follows him to his house, the conductor is let in by Ringo and enlists his aid. They get the other Beatles who shall save Pepperland from the Bluemeanies by the enthusiasm of their music.
