A New Turn in New Music: enters Turntablism!

Since the first time I heard Philip Jeck in the nineties I became fascinated by his art and music: end of the nineties I started to transcribe his pieces, embedding this transcriptions in the Difference/Repetition series, nowadays comprising some 30 pieces and several music theatre pieces; in DW8 I wrote a double concerto for 2 turntablists, in I Hate Mozart I used 2 turntablists as musicians, another one in Montezuma; at this time I decided to write a kind of hommage to Jeck in the form of an extended piece for the Alter Ego ensemble and Phil Jeck on turntables, based on the concept of reversal of roles.
