NEWS-NEWS-NEWS
| TNA is said to
want Sting to wrestle his second of his four remaining
dates the week after the TNA one cent episode. The hope
is that many people will order the once cent broadcast,
and with hype about Sting returning the week after, many
people will continue to order every Wednesday at the
normal $10 price. Vince Russo, and other TNA officials
want to see Sting beat AJ Styles for the NWA TNA World
Title. This would create complications however, because
Sting only has three appearances left with TNA.
Therefore, after defeating Styles on one show, he would
have to drop the belt within the next two. Sean Pighin & wrestlingdotcom.com The latest word on Sting is that WWE
still is interested in Sting, but talks have cooled down
quite a bit as signing Sting is not the priority it was
earlier this summer. He also still has a few NWA:TNA
appearances left on his four-show contract, so we should
be seeing him return to televised wrestling very soon,
albeit not necessarily for WWE. Show: The Interactive Interview (theinteractiveinterview.com) |
| The Sting interview will be the first shoot-style interview he's ever done. "Sting: Behind the Paint" is a very compelling piece of video that was a complete monitor sellout in the production truck. The interview will air this Wednesday night. Mike Tenay did an absolutely fantastic job talking with Sting. Look for the Stinger to discuss things he's never talked about in public before. It may sound like a cliché, but this truly is Sting like you've never seen him before. |

| Sting Returns To The Ring On
Tonight's WWA Pay Per View 02-09-2003 -- Jason Barrett The WWA Presents "Retribution" on Pay Per View starting at 8pm tonight. This marks the return of last week's NHB guest Sting to the ring as he makes his first in ring appearance since wrestling the final match on WCW Nitro against Ric Flair. To order tonight's Pay Per View, call your local cable or satellite provider. Tonight's card is listed below. For more information visit worldwrestlingallstars.com. WWA Championship: Sting vs. Lex Luger NWA Championship: Jeff Jarrett vs. Nathan Jones Sabu vs. Simon Diamond vs. Perry Saturn in a Hardcore match Norman Smiley & Malice vs. Buff Bagwell & Johnny Swinger Mike Sanders vs. Joe E. Legend Shark Boy vs. Frankie Kazarian Konnan vs. Nate "Spyder" Webb Hardcore Midget match: Puppet vs. Teo, with Midajah as special referee ++++++++++ The man called Sting was on No Holds Barred Radio and he said that he has not "closed the door on working for the WWE". That's great to hear. And to be honest with you, Sting would be the best WCW pick up since the original WCW Invasion. Ric Flair was good in the beginning, but now he's a second fiddle member of a stable. Nash is injured, Hall is a drunk, and Steiner is in bad cardiovascular shape. Now granted, Hogan is working out well, but he disappeared there for a while and hurt Smackdown's ratings as champion (his hyped title match with Chris Jericho remains the lowest rated Smackdown at 2.9). With Sting, he's still in great shape for his age (42 or 43 now? 41? 44?) and his style won't get him hurt and he won't be out of breath, like Steiner. Plus, he remains the BIGGEST FACE that WCW has ever had. I mean, all of the old WCW fans loved the guy. Sting NEVER went to the WWE, thereby making him a unique product to the WWE, much like Bill Goldberg, who also never went to the WWE. Which brings me to my point... why bother with Bill Goldberg? If he's going to ask for $3 to $4 Million for 2 appearances in the WWE, Wrestlemania and Backlash, then I'm sure you could get the Stinger at a better price, and in the long run, you'll have a better worker and someone who isn't afraid to put over talent (ask Vader, DDP, Booker T, Bret Hart, Bill Goldberg, and many others). I think his Crow gimmick would work well with the WWE, too. He's definitely worth it. Therefore, instead of rallying support for the signing of Bill Goldberg, how about Sting? Spread the word! lordsofpain.net |

| It is being reported that everyone was
suprised to see how good of shape Sting was in on the
most recent WWA tour. According to a lot of the
wrestlers, he looked very good in the ring for someone
who has not wrestled in two years. It is now rumored that
NWA-TNA will try to contract Sting as an active wrestler. Calvin Martin & lordsofpain.net This week the
LilsBoys and Adam Sibley of Sun Online caught up with
Sting - quite simply one of the greatest wrestlers of all
time. Sting
did an interview while on the recent WWA tour. He
discussed the possibilities of him going to WWE, Japan,
and various other topics. The article is up at
www.thesun.co.uk. Be sure to check it out. I
just came back from Wembley Arena, and I must say, the
show was great!!! About 5000 people in the audience, but
everyone there enjoyed the show, especially me! The
WWA ran a show last night in London, England and
according to reports, Lex Luger missed the show with an
injury. The main event was changed to Sting/Nathan Jones
vs. Malice/Buff. No word yet on what Luger's injury is,
or how long he'll be out of action. The
next WWA pay per view event is set to blow the roof off
the SECC in Glasgow. stlingdotcom.com |
Nikita, Ted and Sting in their first Nationwide TV Commercial for Pre-Paid Legal WATCH BOTH ..THEY ARE DIFFERENT! http://www.nikitakoloff.com/PPLvid.htm http://www.milliondollarman.com/pplvideo/PPLvid.htm From Ted Dibiase's
official newsletter - The Honky Tonk Man was
recently a guest on Below the Belt, a wrestling radio
show in Baltimore, Maryland. He talked about Ted DiBiase
recently baptizing the Road Warriors in Arizona. He says
DiBiase, Sting, the Road Warriors, Terry Taylor, Tully
Blanchard and a host of others were in Arizona on some
sort of religious convention. He says if they too were
truly 'born again', they would have let bygones be
bygones and called HTM to come to their convention, since
he lives in Arizona. He jokes that he wouldnt have
minded getting some of the money out of the collection
plate. When Scott Steiner was on 'Get In The Ring' this past week, he said 'he still talks to Sting, but he doesn't think Sting will return in a role where he has to travel much. Feels Sting doesn't want to go on a full time road schedule.' Scott said the travel used to be much worse, but even the "four day on, three day off" schedule is heavy. He feels everyone needs a break sometimes, or they just get burned out. |
| Ted Debiase: Also attending the conference were Tully Blanchard, Hector Guerrero, Nikita Koloff, and Steve Borden (Sting). Also attending when he could because of his health was Superstar Billy Graham It was almost like a wrestlers reunion. What's even better is that we have all committed to attend the conference next year and bring along with us more of our friends from the wrestling business. INTERVIEW: "The Heartbreak Kid" SHAWN MICHAELS Ted Debiase : How about you getting together with Ted, Nikita and Sting to work for Christ? Yes, we have all sort of talked about that also and if its the Lords will, He will make that happen. READ MORE ON Ted Debiase's Website : http://www.milliondollarman.com/newsletter/index.htm |
| Sting, along with the 'Million Mollar Man' Ted Debiase and Koloff were on a Christian show on Houston's Daystar TV. It was a short skit were the million dollar man played the devils servant and tempted Sting. Sting went on to say how the devil was always beside him when he wrestled and gave him what he wanted. He said he became a main eventer fighting Ric Flair and others, his face was on over 400 different products he was a wanted man but he still wasn't happy. He then gave his life to God and finally got what he really wanted. He said people ask him why he doesn't wrestle anymore and he said he wrestles everyday with a power struggle to resist the devils temptations. |

| Leaving
his successful career as the Champion wrestler Sting,
Steve Borden has turned in his titles for a bible and a
microphone. After years in the professional wrestling
ring, Steve eventually saw the light and made a change.
Despite all his achievements and triumphs, it wasnt
until he gave his life to God that he could stand proud
and say: "Wow, there truly is a purpose in
life." Steve Borden comes to Stand Up with a passion
to speak into the lives of young people and a burden to
share his incredible testimony http://www.teenmania.com/invade/ INTERVIEW LASH LEROUX ABOUT:STING ! Credit to : http://www.millondollarman.com Sting: Sting is someone I really admire for the simple fact that he has never let - not since Ive known him anyway - he never let this business change him. You see a lot of guys, depending on whether they are popular with the fans or not popular with the fans, or getting used in regular story lines or not getting used, you see them act differently accordingly. Sting has always seemed to maintain the same personality, hes the same kind of guy regardless of whats going on around him. And hes always got a kind word and a hand shake, hes always so friendly. I admire that about him especially in a business like this where politics play such a big part in whether people will talk to you or not talk to you depending on where you are on the roster. ............ I just got back from the Acquire
the Fire Christian youth rally at Arco Arena in
Sacramento and Steve "Sting" Borden was one of
the guest speakers. He talked about his faith and shared
a little bit about his life. He also mentioned wrestling
guys like Hogan, Hall, Nash, and Flair. Anyways,
afterwards, he was set up at a merchandise table. I got
an autograph, shook his hand, and told him it was an
honor to meet him. On a side note, before Sting actually
came out on stage, they showed clips of him wrestling
Hogan, Hall, Nash, Flair, Luger, and Big Show, among
others. Got this from a friend Hi there, |
| Watch for Ted, Nikita and Sting in a brand new TV commercial for Pre-Paid Legal, coming to a station near you early next year!! http://www.milliondollarman.com/ |
| STING INTERVIEW :http://www.milliondollarman.com/newsletter/pg21201.htm Another big development that has recently taken place is that along with Nikita Koloff and Sting, I will be doing several events with Ron Luce and TeenMania. These are the events called Aquire the Fire. We'll have the opportunity to witness to literally thousands of teenagers! Isn't that awesome? The biggest event will be in Indianapolis, Indiana in April at the RCA dome. They are expecting over 60,000 teens to attend!! Please be praying for us as God opens these doors to witness to so many. We will all need your prayer cover. Satan will do all he can to destroy it. So, PLEASE PRAY FOR US! |
| Wrestling With God ...Life's greatest
battles don't happen in the ring..... Sting's time away from the ring opened his eyes to another possibility as well. He sees a great opportunity for him and Sue to minister together in some capacity. Just a few years after he almost lost his wife, the two are now closer than ever. "I love my wife very much" Sting says. "God is the most important thing in my life, then Sue is next. I can't describe how much our relationsship means to me. I'm look forward to spending the rest of my life with her. It's been amazing to see how God has been working in her life." Whether Sting's ministry takes him on the road for speaking engagements or simply plants him firmly at home, he has made a determination to never back down from the gospel message that saved his marriage, his family, and his life. "People can talk about religion, and people can talk about God," he says. "They can talk about being spiritual, but when you mention Jesus Christ ,people cringe. I'm glad I accepted Christ when I did. My life is better than it's ever been. I just want to help bring as many people as I can to Christ. That's the most important thing to me now." |
