Happy Birthday
Steve!
I hope that this one, as well as the ones to come find you happy and healthy. As my gift to you, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for all the years of entertainment you have provided to my family, my friends and me. You are definitely the favorite wrestler of this group of fans! We eagerly await your appearances each week and miss you when you're not there. We have cheered you whether you were face or heel and feel terrible when you don't win. I have followed your career from the early 90's and have enjoyed each incarnation of your persona as its developed.
The current Sting is my personal favorite, I love the black and white look with the blonde surfer attitude and although I'm sure I'd continue to support Sting no matter whatpersona you develop for the character, I'm kinda hoping this one sticks around for a while. Its not going to be easy to say goodbye to you when you retire from the ring fortunately I will be able to continue to follow your career as you become more and more popular as an actor. I saw Shutterspeed and liked it. You definitely have acting ability beyond what's required for wrestling. Your facial expressions were great - I was laughing at a couple of scenes just due to the look on your face! Truthfully, I think you played your sensitive and comedy scenes even better than you did some of the action scenes. I can't wait until we can see you on the big screen and can cheer for you at the academy awards. I'm sure that as rewarding as your career has been, there have been difficult times for you personally, we all face them.
I admire the fact that you have made your family and your personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ priorities in your life. This can be a very difficult thing to do in this day and age and more so, I think, when you're in the public eye. You are in a unique position as an athlete/actor to present others with the gospel by the example you make of your life. As my minister is fond of saying, "the only way the unchurched may see the gospel is through the way you live your life". I think you are a terrific influence on all those who watch you, especially children. It's important for them to see an athlete achieve success without throwing all of societies' rules out the window.
Thanks again for everything and happy birthday. I wish you every success in your personal, professional and spiritual lives.
Yours in Christ, Debbi Bachman Bdbach@yahoo.com
