Hello everyone

Welcome STiNG

Question : My question is, will sting have a new look when he makes his long awaited return to WCW?

No, its gonna be the same loook

you are probly assuming i'm gonna come back as the old early 90s version of Sting

thats only rumor I'll be comin' back as the Pro looking STiNG

Question : hey i loved shutterspeed..will u be doing any other movies soon?

yeah, if i had it my way yes I had so much fun doin' it, i definitely wanna do more

Question :Steve, so many wrestlers have broken their necks--Ric Flair, Buff Bagwell.. are you ever worried about that when you wrestle??

Of course... yeah ,actually my neck is a mess right now

I have disks that are pretty messed up... nerves pinched off

all kindsa stuff messed up I wanna get slowly but surely into acting.

Question : Sting,do you feel pressured by the ammount of kids watching wrestling,to be a good role model?

Most definitely yeah

in today's wrestling scene, with each new year that goes by, its gettin more raunchy in a lot of ways

I don't wanna compromise... I won't compromise...

because of kids especially i have 3 of my own... we just had a new baby

I won't allow them to watch a lot of what our program is .They can watch me.... but that's where it ends

Question : I SAW YOUR MOVIE SHUTTERSPEED WERE YOU RELUCTANT TO WORK WITH DAISY FUENTES

Superb... who wouldn't wanna work with someone like her

she is beautiful... a real pro great personality... i look forward to working with her again some day

I wanna involve her on Monday Nitro and at least one pay per view

But yanno, in waiting for all the dust to settle at WCW with all these writers, it never did materialize

Question: hey Sting have you ever wished you had never gotten into wrestling?

yeah... i mean there have been some pretty down days over all these years

yeah... on those down times, ya wish ya never got involved

but the reality is that i'm glad i did

wrestling has been good to me in a lot of ways

but it has also been a real rocky road as well

but it definitely built some character in me that i undoubtedly needed

Question : any truth to the rumors of a TV series being offered to you

yanno, Shutterspeed was made as 2 hour movie of the week for TNT

with the idea that mebbe it could be kinda like a pilot as well

and yeah... i mean.. the subject has been talked about before ,but i'm not gonna hold my breath on that one

Question: Sting when did you know that you wanted to become a pro wrestle?

wow about 1985 i went to the Sports Arena in Los Angeles and saw Hulk Hogan wrestle along with a lotta other big name

wrestlers and the arena was jam packed with all the merchandise they sell

I think that was probly the day i thought ... there is sumpin here

and I always picture myself doing something in front of 1000s of fans... but i never knew it would be wrestling

Question: What is the best thing a fan has ever given you or done for you?

Probably a smile believe it or not

Yanno i've done some work for make a wish foundation, Starlight foundation...

and to meet with a youngster especially

who maybe hasn't smiled for months

because of all the chemotherapy and surgery and radiations

its nice to be able to put a smile on their face... as well as their entire family

I'd say that's probly the most meaningful

Question : what do you see yourself doing after you retire from wrestling?

Hopefully acting and being a father and husband

Question : Have you been getting positive feedback on the film?

Um.... yeah ,but the positive feedback i've been getting is from family and friends

but it seems from some people to be sorta .... "ok"

like... well yanno... everyone has a beginning, this was yours... yanno

Question : who inspired you to wrestle

Nobody inspired me to... honest answer

I was living in Calif... and yanno... getting bored....

I began the auditioning process for commercials and TV

I was already looking.... and wrestling came along and i said "hey...i'm looking for a change"

Question : Sting, i was wondering how many of your stunts did you do yourself?

Well this was a really top of the line good budget TV movie

so i had my own stunt double ,but i did do some minor stunts... .some motorcycle riding

and some hanging on to the side of the truck when it was moving, but that's about it

Question : Whats been your favorite match in history with you in it

Probly it would hafta be...there are 3 matches... i can't say only one

the first one would be the very first Clash of Champions

1988 versus Rick Flair the second would be 1990 July

the Great American Bash

Rick Flair again that was in Baltimore Maryland

and the last one would be Starcade of 1998 San Francisco... Hulk Hogan

No.... i really don't think i could comprehend what has gone on I don't think i had any idea

Question: Sting, who is one person that you would like to wrestle more than anyone else

I'd like to wrestle the Undertaker and um....Lex Luger and The Rock too

Question : What sports did you participate in in High School? Wrestling?

No, only backetball ,I love basketball

Question : Sting, will you ever write an autobiography about your life in wrestling?

yanno, that subject has come up a lot in the last year and yanno... i just might do that

but I would i would wanna give a real straight up!! account of my life

over the last 15 years and everyone that was involved with it

Question: Hi Steve. If you could write the screenplay for your next movie, what would it be about??

good question ,IF i could write one... that's the tricky part

it might be about the book of Revelation out of the bible

a modern day representation of the events that are unfolding right now as we speak

Things like famine, drugs and prostitution, natural disasters...

but yanno... .like a 100 million dollar budget... make it really good

Question : What direction would you like to see WCW take? Would you consider being more involved with the writing etc?

Well i was at one time and it was great i had a lot of creative control over what i was doing in 97 and 98

i had a great working relationship with eric bischoff

and if i could recreate that working environment again, then i would love to do it

Question : What would you do if your children wanted to get into the wrestling game?

Uh.... I would probly discourage them from doing it

Lucky for me none of them have interest in it... they have other ventures

like i said earlier, it isn't all fun and games...it isn't all it seems to everyone out there in TV land

its a real cutthroat business

Question: what do you do in your spare time besides golf and ride your harley?

oh boy.... uhmmmm I like to .... I just bought a little fixer upper house.

and my wife and I like to do that... we always wanted to buy an old house...

we bought one built in 1934

and we're redoing it and havin' fun with that

Question : What do you think about the new WCW movie coming out in the spring, "Ready To Rumble"?

I think it'll probly be very successfull

David Arquette and Scotty Caan, Oliver Platt and other big name actors are in it

its gonna be funny... bathroom humor all the way

its kind of a combination of Dumb and Dumber, Beavis and Butthead, Wayne's World all combined into one

Question : Sting did you watch wrestling growing up? If so who was your favorite?

Until the day I got started in wrestling, I didn't know ONE wrestler

I knew the NAME Hulk Hogan and that's it

Question : How did you get the name Sting?

I gave it to myself.... haha when i first started my first tag team partner was the Ultimate Warrior

and he actually started out with the name "Rock" and I was "Sting"

Question : What's the Warrioir up to Sting? Didn't you guys form a tag team in the 80's?

I haven't talked to him since the last time he appeared on our show

Question from: How long have you been married and how have you kept your marriage going

it has been 14 years and through the last year and a half.... two years ...through the power of Jesus Christ

Question : Would kind of acting would you perfer to do next: Drama, Comedy, ect.

I think a lot of fans are gonna be surprised but I would love to do comedy

and my second choice would be a western

Question from: Who are some actors or actresses that you would like to work with?

I love some of those more established guys like Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, DeNiro

and then yanno... I love Travolta and tom Hanks I really don't have favorites

I've appreciated most of them all in different work that they have all done from time to time

Question : In what direction do you want your character to take onWCW ?

I'm still unclear on that

I'm not witholding information... I'm just not sure where to plug myself into here There is still so many changes going on

and in the process there have been a lot of sacrifices made some good, some bad

And I just hope that I haven't made one sacrifice too many on myself

Question : Sting, what is it like working with the other wrestler's and do you all get along well?

We pretty much everybody gets along

but yanno.... its a cutthroat business, so your good friend might tell you he feels bad that you are out with an injury

but as soon as you turn your back, he is ready to move in on your territory...your position

many will say that is true of any profession

but I happen to feel that it is more severe in wrestling but for the most part we all get along

Question : Who built the motorcycle you are riding in 'ShutterSpeed' ?

That was made by a company called "Big Dog"

Question : What did your wife think of you kissing Daisy???

Uhh.... she was ok with it nothing that she really wants me to do with every part I get ,but she was ok with it

Question : Would you ever consider wrestling as "Steve Borden" instead of "Sting"?

yes

yeah, i'd like to see Cactus Jack The Undertaker...and The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin

Question : WHY DID YOU GROW YOUR HAIR OUT?

to change my image and go from one Sting and move the same character into a more Edgy character

No!!!No.... by the time i get there I'm ok

but the travel process of getting on a plane, renting a car, checking into the hotel...after all these years i'm over that

Question: How many total times have you wrestled (Estimat)

lessee.... i'd say probly about 6000 or mebbe more like 8000... .I don't know

Question : What's the best advice that you've ever been given, not just about wrestling?

It would probably have to be in developing a relationship with God and with Jesus Christ.

Question : Steve, I'm sure you enjoyed making the movie, but did you miss being in the ring during the production of the movie?

I filmed for 6 weeks and flew private charter to and from every single week to do Nitro I never missed a beat

It was grueling I'd film throughout the week and i'd eat a little breakfast on Sunday morning...

and i'd get on a commercial airline, fly from Vancouver to the US, film Nitro...

then as soon as the show was over, I'd get on a pvt jet and fly back against the gulf stream

get into Vancouver at 3 or 4 or 5 AM and have a 6:30 call time the next morning so it wasn't easy

Question : Who's your favorite tag team partner?

Probably Rick Steiner

Question : Have you ever visited some of your fan sites on the web?

No, I never have and hopefully in the next few months will develop my own websites

you won't see anymore bogus sites out there once i get up and running

Question : I really respect you keeping your private life quiet ...Is this a hard thing to balance with your popularity?

yes it is very difficult
