May I introduce myself?

Fluffy mit BaerMy name is Fluffy von der Bernsteinstrasse, and I was born in Bruck an der Leitha near Vienna, Austria, on September 6, 2004.  There were 7 of us in the litter - 2 boys and 5 girls.  At birth I only weighed 310g, but my owner-to-be was confident from the beginning that eventually I would grow up to be a real dog!

4Wochen

My people could not wait to see me, and they were glad when my breeder, Mr. Weintoegl, allowed them to visit me and the rest of the litter a week ahead of all the other owners-to-be.  As you can tell from the picture, back then I was merely a handful!

Fluffy im Stroh Oh well, it does not look like I was much bigger on the ground.....but even so, I was quite active nonetheless.  I used to tease my siblings quite a bit - while they were up and about I would enjoy my peace and quiet and take a nap, but hey - as soon as they wanted to sleep I was wide awake and all over them!!

Cessy beim ersten Besuch

My mom is Cessy von der Veste Coburg, and she has had a total of 4 litters.  Maybe that is why she did not seem to mind the early visit of my people when I was only 4 weeks old.  She was friendly and even took a nap while we were getting to know each other.

Giriki vom SeewaldbachMy dad is Giriki vom Seewaldbach, but unfortunately I have never seen him - neither have my people.  But we will try to meet him in 'person'.  Instead, we met his breeders, Brigitte and Harald Messner, on the occasion of one of our frequent trips to Bregenz, in the westernmost part of Austria.  They drove there from Feldkirch with my great-grandmother Flicka vom Traventhal,  with my grandmother Cessy vom Seewaldbach, and with my aunt Gina vom Seewaldbach just to meet with me and my owner.  We were both very glad they did! Pictures of the meeting.

Zu Hause

Since October 31, 2004 I have now lived with my people here in Vienna.  For the first two months approximately I kept my owner quite busy since we still had to develop a routine.  Off to puppy class, playgrounds, walking along busy streets, train rides, and of course riding on subways, trams, buses and yes, sometimes also in cars - all this helped me to learn quickly.  But learning this was not the only purpose of our excursions - we also had fun!  And sometimes people around us had most of the fun - it is easy to please others when you are a puppy!!!!!

What's up next?
