Prater
Originally the Prater was one of the big Habsburg hunting
areas. In 1766 Emperor Josef II opened the territory to the
public and thus it became one of the favorite recreation
areas of the Viennese. A walk away from the busy city life to a quiet park landscape.

Around Kalenderberg
(310 m)
Passing the Black Tower above rocks to Seegrotte, along Fir
woods we take the Anton Wildgans path to Liechtenstein Castle.

Baden
and Gumpoldskirchen
On the traces of Ludwig van Beethoven along the first Vienna
Water Supply-path, only little height differences, with nice
views across the vine areas in the south of Vienna – visiting a
Heurigen (typical wine tavern) possible.

Anninger 675m
From the wine village Gumpoldskirchen walking up through
wooded areas to the top. There is possibility for a snack in a
mountain restaurant and a great view from Jubilee lookout,
across Pfaffstättner Kogel to Baden.

Panoramahike on
Semmering
From Hirschenkogel to Sonnwendstein (1523 m). Beautiful view
to Vienna Basin, and the Rax and Schneeberg mountain peaks. The
historical Semmering Railway looks like a toy from this point.

“Magic Mountain Xpress” shortens the duration.

Hochschneeberg 2076m
Schneeberg is the most eastern summit of the Austrian Alps.
From Puchberg with the rack railway to Hochschneeberg, across
Klosterwappen to the hut. Descending to Sparbacherhütte and to
Losenheim.
