An attic hatch and ladder has been installed instead of a stairway; this idea I did not like from the beginning.
The whole thing got really bad when, by wrongly putting the attic hatch
- right above the stairs and
- much too close to the gable wall
it became obvious that there will be no easy solution to that error.
It is necessary for the attic ladder to straddle at least 350 cm - no standard product can do that!
Each of the tried ladder (four of them!) proved not to be up to that challenge.
There were broken ladders, injured workers, missing finger, ... a collateral damage!
No proper solution has been found. Mr Roncevic simply abandoned the project. Without fulfilling the contract-obligations. No money returned either!
