We had a very enjoyable and informative day with Adrienn touring Vienna. Adrienn was personable and very knowledgeable of her city. Her English was very good. We hired Adrienn for a tour of Vienna on the suggestion of our tour guide in Budapest and were very pleased to find a pleasant, well-prepared and informative tour guide. Adrienn was waiting for us in the lobby of our hotel near the Vienna Opera exactly at the agreed-upon time and after a short overview of our planned tour, we set off to view sites important to the history of Viennese music. Over a period of several hours we saw sites associated with Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert - many that we wouldn't have been able to find on our own.

At each site, Adrienn put it in context by telling us why it was important to the musician and where he went from there. Sometimes we'd duck through an unimportant passageway and emerge magically in front of the next site where Adrienn would relate little-known stories to make the site memorable. At almost every stop Adrienn would open a loose-leaf binder that she'd compiled just for our tour and show us a painting of the interior, or perhaps a map for a quick overview of the Hapsburg empire -Adrienn taught and we asked questions. We also had good informative conversations about modern - day Vienna.

One of our other interests is turn-of-the-century art and architecture and when Adrienn learned of this, began telling us about the history of Viennese Secession and pointing out details in the various buildings that we passed.

At the conclusion of our tour with Adrienn, we asked how one person could know so much about the various aspects of former Viennese society. Adrienn said quite simply that she is very serious about her work and that she's always reading about the period and its major figures. When she's hired to do a tour, she spends a lot of time beforehand tailoring a route, selecting appropriate sites and organizing her notes to serve her clients in the best way possible.

In conclusion, we would recommend Adrienn as a tour guide on historical Vienna, secure in the knowledge that you will receive a very informative tour.
