Dipl. Ing. Herbert Scheuermann - todays president of IES - started gathering experience in developing electronic measuring equipment working as a freelancer thirty years ago. In 1982 his first enterprise was founded as a technical office for electronics. He concentrated his development work on hard to acquire measurements in industrial surroundings. These early products included computerized measurement equipment for electrical train engines, leakage detecting equipment for district heating pipelines and a microcontroller based control device for an optical precision microscope. Since the demands were growing in 1990 the foundation of IES private limited company was a logical consequence.

In 1992 IES was a prize winner for innovation donated by the government of lower Austria. After the development of a precision filling height sensor for huge gasoline tanks, IES concentrated more and more on the service and repair of radar flight control equipment. Thus the demand for spectral vibration analysis arose from the Austrian air traffic control company AUSTRO CONTROL. IES met this demand with the latest development of the Online Machine Condition Analysing Expert System ONYX 3000.

Since its foundation IES´s philosophy has been to create technical equipment which lessens the stress of maintenance people. It arises from the basic understanding of technology as an art, which helps the lives of human beings. Therefore IES always considers technical equipment from the points of views of usefulness, user and -environment -friendliness, as well as economical tasks. In addition technology must not become an end in itself but has to be combined most flexibly with the users needs.

Employee´s standards: The growth of the firm is bundled with employment. New employees must have curiousity and imagination besides expert knowledge. Furthermore IES has the ability to quickly understand complex systems.
