From its beginnings, the Commission on Urgent Anthropological and Ethnological Research has devoted itself to the task of documenting cultural heritage scientifically, especially by publishing the Bulletin, co-ordinating scientists and experts working in this domain through the Newsletter and the foundation of Regional Centres, and assisting them at International Anthropological Conferences. In these different ways the Commission is giving feedback and assistance to researchers and experts calling for urgent actions in their specific fields and presenting their works. Basis of
this endeavour is the international co-operation between scientists and experts, mainly those originating from cultures threatened by extinction or rapid cultural changes.
Articles to be published in the Bulletin may be submitted in English, French, Spanish, Italian or
Portuguese language, in written or on diskette.
