Pipeful Sunday

New game for today is Pipeful Sunday, a very well done clone or remake of the Pipe Dream arcade machine. It has been in development for five years and is in spite of the version number 0.21 a mature program that plays very well, and has excellent music and graphics.

Sid Meier

I read a bit about Sid Meier, added pages for two of his earliest games, Hellcat Ace and Solo Flight, and a few details elsewhere: Railroad Tycoon was the first game where Sid Meier and Bruce Shelley worked together. Bruce Shelley had formerly been an Avalon Hill employee and designer or co-designer (not sure which) of the original 1830 board game, which the Rairoad Tycoon team played a lot before work began.

What else is new

A few more tidbits. I came across the fact that Michael Cranford, the designer of the first two Bard's Tale games, was later co-designer (alongside Mike Dawson) of Dark Seed.

There are a couple of updates for Dungeon Master, a few release fixed dates, a list of sequels, a link to a contemporary review, and some other details. Finally there's some internal navigation (icon boxes) for some of the more popular Tetris clones, like Tetris Break and ACiD Tetris.
