IBM PS/2

This was a series of computers for office use first introduced in April 1987, and ended some time in 1994. They introduced the mouse/keyboard connector that still bears their name, the 72pin memory boards that became standard fare on Pentium motherboards and are still sometimes known as PS/2 RAM; they were all equipped with 3.5" floppy drives, but what distinguishes them most is the unique and proprietary MCA (MicroChannel Architecture) bus, a great improvement at the time but later rendered obsolete by the Pentium's PCI bus that still rules the PC world today.

I started collecting them in 2002 or so. In December 2005 I bought a lot of 11 machines, but I also noticed that my interest in old hardware had mostly evaporated. There have been few updates to these pages since then. But I occasionally check the links, and I correct errors when I find them.
