I've always been skeptical of computer conversions of board games, or, to be more exact, of simple, traditional board games. After all, their most important aspect is the social one, so playing them against a computer seems a rather pointless exercise.
More and more, I am revising my opinion. Some of them are both beautiful and fun. These Chinese Checkers from 1992 are a good example. They are a pleasure to look at, and fun to play. The game is very nicely done with a character (Wai Fu Kan) serving as the host, with an interface of mouse-operated buttons, and six animated icons for the players.
