Le Jeu de Dada
Also known as Petites chevaux,
the name translates as The game of little horses.
It is the French variant of the game known as
Ludo or Pachisi,
with slightly different rules:
- Each player has two horses only.
- You cannot overtake another player.
- The six squares numbered 16 are called the "stairway to
heaven." First, you have to get to the square exactly before it.
Then, you have to climb the stairway one square at a time, always
throwing exactly the number printed on it. Thus, to bring your
first horse home, you have to throw 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in this order.
