Incredibly enough, Denomino is not an SVGA game. These graphics really have only 16 colors (four shades of orange; nine shades of cyan; the rest is black, white, and the purple of the letters). Compare Gemma with this!
Like most of the games by Remco de Korte, Denomino shines more in graphics and interface than in gameplay. You have to fit the domino-like stones to those already on the board, creating only valid four letter words (in the literal sense!). As in Scrabble, each two-letter combination gives a certain number of points, and certain fields will multiply the number of points when used. This basically interesting concept is marred by a lack of flexibility (you can position the stones only in the given position, or rotate them 90 degrees counter-clockwise by moving them with the right mouse button), a limited vocabulary (the game does not accept teal or tote for example), but most of all by a far too short and IMHO unnecessary time limit for each turn.
