What's Known so Far
(Not much, actually.)
- There will be five character classes, including Barbarian and Witch Doctor. The other classes have yet to be announced. Unlike in the previous games, you can create male and female characters in all classes.
- We will visit Tristram again. Seems that we'll finally get to enter the church proper. There will also be a couple of characters from the previous games.
- It runs on a custom 3D game engine for rendering full-3D characters and environments. A custom physics engine will allow for realistic object dynamics and cloth simulation.
- Like the previous games, it will have single player and cooperative multiplayer.
What's Planned
- Class-based quests in addition to the main story-line quests.
- More outdoor scenes, more colorful environments.
- Fewer but tougher monsters.
- No more potions. Instead, each monster has a chance to drop a red sphere that replenishes health.
