This game, which was created in 1995 by Wojtek Wrona (code and graphics) and Radek Andrzejewicz (music) under the name of Cybertech Laboratories, is the last use of the MaxIt concept in a graphically ambitious game. On the whole, Erotica is far less well done than Blue Angel 69. It expands the playing field to 10×8, which gives an advantage to the horizontal player, and instead of pixel graphics it had photographs that look good only at 64 colors. Games like Samantha Fox Strip Poker and even, to a certain degree, Hollywood Strip Poker, proved that you can make black-and-white photographs look fairly good on a standard VIC-II chip, if it's done right.
Here, it obviously wasn't done right.

The first erotic MaxIt was Blue Angel 69, which was available for Commodore 64, and, with better graphics, Amiga, Atari ST, and possibly PC. Three years later Blue Angel 69 was remade as Sexy Droids for Amiga and PC only. The two games are mostly identical, only the graphics are different. Sexy Droids was licensed by Penthouse and released as Penthouse Hot Numbers featuring models of this magazine.
The concept of rewarding the player of a puzzle game with some sort of erotic picture for each completed level, on the other hand, is widespread. Examples are Porntris, Uncover It, and X Rock. Of course, it is the heart and soul of all strip poker games. One that is somewhat similar in graphics is Hollywood Poker.
Erotica was also available in a non-erotic version with car pics as Car-o-Matic.
