Exodus was created by a small team, mainly Andrzej Bugajny (code), Mariusz Samson (graphics), and Adam Zalepa (music). I have often wondered if these are the same people that created Napalm, since the two games have a lot in common, but there's no way to tell, since clickBOOM never published any credits.
Exodus features two races, the Zeldow and the Moroj. Gameplay-wise, the two are nearly identical, they have mostly the same buildings and units with occasional minimal differences in the stats, but basically just different graphics: the Zeldow sport a futuristic/SF look, the Moroj are more 20th century/WWII.
As one reviewer pointed out, the RTS genre had developed a lot on the PC. Exodus is still pretty much what Command & Conquer and Warcraft II were. But since there are so few real-time strategies for the Amiga, it was fairly successful, patched and updated to support GFX cards and OS 4.0, and as of 2007, is still fully supported and sold.

The game has been very nicely produced with a large number of nicely drawn vehicles and buildings. There are plenty of nice touches too, like the repair vehicle that welds your damaged tanks, complete with high resolution sparks, and the "sploosh" that you occasionally hear when fragments of an exploding building happen to land in water. Perhaps a touch more variety and catering for finesse on the battlefield would have been the icing on the cake, but Exodus is a very nice game indeed, and its authors should be proud.

Overall the game is pretty good, although if you're a veteran of other RTS games you'll find that it doesn't offer anything new. The only thing is that the PC strategy game has progressed even further. Not just the cinematic scenes but the isometric views (even free rotating views), a more diverse range of units (that are not identical to the opposite sides), the on-line multi-player games and featuresneed I say any more.
