Essentially, HitBlock (which took nearly eight years to make) is a remake of the Commodore 64 game Crillion, but with many additional features. There are crumbling blocks which do not bounce the ball back, monsters moving either according to preset patterns or actively pursuing the ball, glass that can be broken only by monsters, snow blocks that freeze the ball for a while, bombs that blow up monsters or otherwise impassible tiles, and many more.
