3D Lemmings, released on the Playstation first, seems to have been influenced a bit by Doom and the likes. If you type RASPUTIN while playing, the cursor will turn into a crosshair and you can kill Lemmings by clicking on them. These Lemmings are then counted as saved. Apart from this strange cheat the basic gameplay concept was still the same as that of the classic Lemmings.
3D Lemmings supported SVGA, but only for some splash screens and menus, the actual game ran in VGA. Interesting enough the main menu/title, which was hi-res (640×350) in the original Lemmings, is here lo-res too.

- The bad news is that it is just as addictive as its honoured
ancestors, Rosemary Young announced:
However, if you have played Lemmings before you may need to give yourself some time to get used to it. Be generous, it's worth it. Still, it may also be that this one is not for everyone. It probably best suits the most dedicated Lemmings fans. You really do need a good store of tenacity. On the other hand, if you have never played Lemmings before and are considering trying it, I would recommend a different approach. Indeed, I strongly suggest that you hunt around and find one of the earlier versions and get yourself up to speed on that before you take the plunge and tackle this one.
