Loopz Windows

The game of Loopz is half forgotten now, but in its day it was quite successful, ported to most popular platforms, and gave the inspiration for games like Trubis or Master of Bombs. Christophe Yvon liked it so much that he decided to re-create it on Windows.

Windows conversions of puzzle games were a common thing at the time, and like with everything else, there are the good, the bad, and the ugly. Christophe Yvon's Loopz for Windows is definitely among the good. The graphics are clear and pleasing. The interface is clear and simple: you rotate pieces with the right mouse button and place them with the left.

Writing this, I re-read the review of the original Loopz I had written half a year earlier in July 2005. I found I didn't like the game all that much then. In a way, this port is better than the original.
