Macintosh Game Links
Most Popular Macintosh Downloads
These are the ten games that were downloaded most often
in November 2008:
- Tetris Max
- Glider
- Strip-Mac!
- Moorhuhnjagd
- Same Game
- Hexen
- Short Circuit
- Bubbles
- World Builder
- Sokoban

- Games for Macintosh Plus
- emulation.net
is dedicated to emulation on the Mac OS and Mac OS X.
- Erasmatazz is the site of
game designer Chris Crawford. You can download the Macintosh versions of some
of his older games here.
- Cliff Johnson has made all
his early games available for free and hosts three of them, The Fool's Errand,
At the Carnival, and 3 in Three on his website. All these games were written
for the Mac originally. The navigation of this site is rather confusing; it's
an animated flash menu at the top and bottom of each page that looks like some
banner.

- Mac Gaming and the Almighty Port: A brief history of Mac gaming.
By Raphael Liberatore & Joel Page.
- Scott's Addictions
are postings about the games I play as I play them. When a
game captures my interest and becomes a front-burner favorite, I'll post
a tidbit or two here for you fellow gamers to enjoy. I'll only post the
best games of my crop. No ratings, just ravings. And I'm semi-agnostic:
I love the Mac, tolerate my PC, and split time on the PlayStation and
Nintendo 64.
These postings are all from 1994-97, thus one of the few sources for
older Mac games.
Abandonware
French Sites
Were Macs especially popular in France? From 1990 to 1994, most
commercial French games were available
in a Mac version, and there are more French sites
dedicated to Mac abandonware than anywhere else. Most of the games are
in English nonetheless.
