I suppose that Mad Mix 2 is the only Pac-Man clone ever that used isometric view, which is precisely what got me interested. The original Mad Mix two years earlier, while using the more conventional top-down view, already added a kind of story to the Pac-Man theme, and some very unconventional power-ups, allowing you for example to stomp the ghosts as a hippopotamus.
Here in Mad Mix 2, the plot takes you to Cococastle, the dots that you eat are coconuts. The idea is somewhat cute and the game is well done. Unfortunately, when I first tried to play it I couldn't figure out the controls. If you are not used to Spectrum games, they are not very intuitive. Q and A move along the top-left/bottom-right diagonal, O and P at a right angle to this.
