Mancala games have been very popular on the Commodore 64, which has seen more than twenty of them. (It must be added, though, that about half these games supported only 2-player mode, making them little more than electronic boards.) They have been popular on the Macintosh throughout the 90s. Since the mid-90s, there have been several for both DOS and Windows. Otherwise, Mancala games are few and far in between. I have only found one for any Atari platform (Awele for the ST), and this is one of the very few on the Amiga (the only other one I know is AMancala by Thorsten Koschinski, 198992).
In the same year, there was a collection called Gumbys Games
which contained five games, and some source code for Amos
programmers:
This Mancala may have been the one by Tower Software, or it may have been a different one. Personally, I believe the former, but I have no evidence whatsoever.
Excellent Card Gamesand
Serious Solitaire, now for Windows of course; there is no Mancala game in their program any more.
