Napalm was the second independent development project by clickBOOM after Capital Punishment, but it was done by a different team. As far as I know, it was a team of Polish programmers, but I have only the statement of one member of the first team to go for this. clickBOOM themselves never published any credits.

For gamers who like a bit of thought to their strategy games, this might not appeal quite as much as the Avalon hill favourite Squad Leader, but those who like the appeal of a game that's easy to get into, hard to complete and incredibly fun to play, Napalm really has it all.

All in all, this is another excellent game to add to the ever growing stable of quality titles from ClickBOOM, I'd even go as far to say that is is there best ever game, and yes, that includes Quake. Once the TCP/IP support arrives I can see this game causing some sky-high phonebills, until then you'll just have to make do with playing the best real-time strategy game ever by yourself, lifes a bitch eh? ;). To put it in a nutshell, this games got it all, If you haven't already done so, buy it now, you won't regret it.

Napalm is a game I am sure will make top five lists for years to come. It's even caught the attention of a few of my Windows using friends. From the graphics, to the sound, to the game play, this game is pure quality.

There are two basic types of good games: There's the solid, but unexeptional game, and there's the flawed masterpiece. If I am to put Napalm in one of these bags, I think it would have to be the
flawed masterpiece
bag. It has great graphics and good music. It is not extremely stable, or very fast, but overall the technical implementation is good. The controls, which are a very important aspect of games like this, are very good. Napalm has thirty challenging single player missions, so it should last for ages. On the other hand, there is a multitude of gameplay flaws. Despite these flaws I've managed to have good time playing Napalm, and I suspect that it is a lot more fun to play against a human opponent. Let's hope that we will see aNapalm 2
in the not too distant future.
