Games not on the Amiga

I got the idea to compile this list when I was revising the not on the PC list on 2005-01-10.

  1. I would include games that were older than the Amiga. Quite a few of these have been ported later, after all. But only if they were available on at least one 16-bit platform. Pure 8-bit games like Krakout or Traz are not relevant here.
  2. I would not include games that were released for one platform only. If a game never gets ported at all, it's not very remarkable that it does not get ported to a specific platform.
  3. I would not include games that were only available for any given combination of the platforms that are still in use today: Unix, DOS/Windows, Macintosh.

I'm probably least happy with point 3. The reason was that since the mid-90s, very few games have been ported to the Amiga any more, so I had to end the list somehow. Doing it this way ended the list earlier than I had expected.

In the end, the list got longer than I had expected. But it's interesting that it consists to more than 70% of US games developed for the Apple ][. And it is interesting that nearly every single game in the list was available for the PC.
