Seems that 1982 everyone, everywhere, on every platform was writing Pac-Man clones. This one is pretty bad, as most or all games by Brad and Duane Houck (but not all games by Comm*Data), but still good enough to be ported to the ZX Spectrum the next year. Seeing that it came out the very same year as the Commodore 64 itself, it has a great deal of nostalgic value, which, of course it shares with about 40 other games.
But then Pakacuda was the first C64 game that got hacked into an X-rated version. It was done by a group who called themselves Peter Pan Software Pirates. Their hack, called Sexacuda, exchanged the fish for (still green, and very stylized) penises, the jellyfish monsters for Herpes, the serpent power-ups for injection needles (they help you fight Herpes, get it?).
This strange hack, which was as bad an attempt at an adult
game as Pakacuda was an attempt at a Pac-Man clone, can be admired at
The Girls of 64.
