Apple IIGS

The Apple IIGS was introduced in September 1986, when Apple already concentrated its forces on the Macintosh. It was comparable to an Atari ST or Amiga, but less powerful and twice as expensive. Strangely enough, it was not very successful.

Consequently, its relevance for gaming was very low. Maybe less than two hundred games were ported to it (on 2005-07-15, Fairway listed 134 that were officially reliesed, and fifteen that weren't), most of them in 1988. The only games ever developed especially for it seem to be Mancala by California Dreams and the obscure RPG 2088: The Cryllan Mission.
