Though this game bears the number two in all its alternate titles (it is known as Pizza Tycoon 2, Pizza Connection 2, and Fast Food Tycoon 2), it really is the third game in the series. First there was Pizza Tycoon, or Pizza Connection as it was known in its native Germany (1994); in 1999, there followed Pizza Syndicate (or $yndicate, as it was spelled on the cover, which spoofed the cover of SiN; in the US it was released as Fast Food Tycoon, with a different cover). Pizza Syndicate already had isometric graphics and a day-and-night system, but retained the cartoony style.
Pizza Connection 2 was released in 2000, and as Fast Food Tycoon 2
in the USA 2001. In this game, the graphics are
more serious
, even beautiful. They remind me of
SimCity 3000 or even
SimCity 4. Gameplay hasn't changed
very much since the first game.

- The game is actually harder than I expected, Courtney Marchelletta
admits.
My only complaint about the game is the interface. At first its too confusing, and some sections feel buried. Because of this, I suggest you go through the tutorial, so you can get an idea of where things are. I don't usually use tutorials, but after some frustration I did have to give in. The graphics are excellent. They won't blow your mind away, but they are funny and of good quality. If you feel like trying out a new game or want a change of pace, I recommend trying this game out. It'll be a good break from highly intense games, and open a new genre of games that even a non-gamer may enjoy.
- Kind of game for people who wonder if the infantry guys are happy
and receiving proper medical care while playing Command and Conquer,

The game has a distinct Sims feel to it. All of the characters are the sort of realistic-cartoony hybrid with each person having specific characteristics. Some of the most important details come in hiring the right people for the positions that need filled or in matching your stores to the general populaceno need for 5 star dining when your restaurant is next to a tattoo parlor right?
