moviesthat are more like animated GIFs, 1992, DOS/VGA.
This is the kind of game reviewers like to sneer about, but I always
thought it cute. Porntris is basically standard Tetris, but without the sophistications. You won't get additional
points for clearing more than one line at a time, in fact, no points
are counted at all. With every line you clear a little more gets
revealed from the porn movie on the right (and it really is porn,
though not much of a movie). Once the whole movie is visible, you
can move to the next level. The background pictures (they are all
black and white) were supposed to get raunchier too from level to
level, but things got a little mixed up here. The pic you see on the
screenshot was probably meant for the first level, yet it pops up on
the last.
Of course this is basically the dumbest form of an erotic game: take a well-known puzzle and gradually let it reveal something more or less erotic. But unlike most other games of this sort, Porntris has considerable charm. Maybe it's just because of the bad quality of the images. The company later made a similar (and yet not similar) game based on Pipe Mania gameplay and called it, unsurprisingly, Pornpipe.
Porntris will run on about any computer with a VGA card (there is no sound at all), but beware of runtime errors with faster CPUs. It won't run under Windows XP.
