Ian Bell wrote Reversi in 1981 for the BBC Micro Model A. It was published by Program Power in 1982 but sold only a few hundred copies. It was unusual at the time for working in a higher resolution mode when run on the Model B. Ian Bell, of course, is mainly known as the creator of Elite.
