The history of this game is a bit confusing. All the versions run under the label of Austrian developer Eclipse, but there are completely different credits for the different platforms. The Commodore 64 by Bones Park, the same team responsible for Sixx:
- Mario Knezovic: code
- Michael Detert and Oliver Lindau: graphics
- Thomas Detert: music
For the DOS version, there are no credits, for the Amiga version, they run:
- Michael Raasch: code
- Bleick Bleicken: graphics
- Sven Bauer: music
It would be interesting to know which version can be considered the original and which the port. In any case Mario Knezovic used the concept and puzzles five years later for a Volkswagen comission, New Beetle Tracks & Gaps. Perhaps the whole game was originally his idea.
An Atari ST port was published 1994. It needed an STE with 1.5 MB RAM and supported the Falcon. The cover, which is repeated on the loading screen, was drawn by star artist Celal Kandemiroglu.
In the game, you have to guide a cute little dinosaur from entry to exit, mainly with the help of sliding tiles. These tiles can be started with the dinosaur on them, or by remote control. Once started, they will move till they hit an obstacle. On some levels, you also have to collect keys which, given the stone age theme, is a bit ironic.
The only thing that is annoying about this game is that there is a time limit for every level. You can restart the level a limited number of times, then you are taken back to the menu screen andhave to enter the level password again. I have never understood the concept of puzzles with a time limit. What's the point?
