Hardly anything is known about Séduction 1. It was written by
François Auzanneau et Jean-Baptiste Vahé, with graphics by Corinne
Evans, so much is certain. It was published by
Froggy Software, and therefore must have met the spirit of the
company, which Jean-Louis Le Breton defined as aventure, humour,
décalage et déconnade (The last two terms could maybe be
translated as weird and wild
).
Séduction 1 is an RPG. The screenshot shows a top-down view in the Ultima style. It shows high-rise buildings and a cocktail bar. That the setting is modern is quite clear from the title screen and Doré's box cover. It shows a beautiful woman, a yacht, an airplane before a setting sun, a coast with palm trees. That's about all the hints we have as to content or setting. Not even an ad blurb can be found.
Séduction 1 may well have been the first French RPG, of which there may not have been more than a dozen. Loriciel never released one (at least there is no category Jeux de Role on loriciel.net), Silmarils was only founded in this year, and otherwise the oldest French RPG I know is Drakkhen from 1989.
