There have been erotic Tetris clones of various types. There have been erotic puzzle and arcade games based on Qix or MaxIt or Breakout, or with completely original gameplay. But I think this game by Mirage Software (the ones who gave us Uncover It) is the only ever attempt to create an erotic Reversi (well, no, now that I think about it, there is another one, Don Den Lover Vol. 1, but that's an arcade machine and somehow another category).
Like all the Mirage productions I know, Sexversi is made solidly enough. After the title screen with its icon-based menu you get a choice of four opponents like in a strip poker game. Their graphics are only in three shades of red, but they look quite good (as did the grayscale opponents in the C64 version of Hollywood Poker). After you have chosen your opponent you are presented with a screen of sixteen tiles. One of them blinks, revealing a glimpse of the tile the first match will be about.
I chose what turned out to be Magda. At first she played a tough game and kept the board purple, but after I captured a corner the tide began to turn. Soon she had to pass all the time and in the end the board was very yellow (I remember encountering a similar AI in another Othello game, but I can't remember which). Then the tiled screen appeared again. My victory had gained me the first 16th of Magda's pic. Another tile was flashing.
That's where I stopped. The well-done execution can't hide the absurdity of the basic concept. Somehow I didn't feel like playing sixteen Othello matches in a row to uncover some 8-bit nudity.
