This was the first port of Wolfenstein 3D
to another platform, and most of the subsequent are based on it.
It introduced two new weapons, a flame thrower and a rocket launcher
using different ammo, and an automap. These nice improvements cannot
hide the fact that the SNES is simply not
made for 3D games (nevertheless even DOOM
would be ported to this console).

Due to Nintendo's politics, all the blood and gore has been removed (including the bloodstains on Dr. Schabbs' labcoat), as well as all Nazi references. Hitler lost both his badge and his moustache and was called "Staatsmeister". Moreover, the dogs were replaced by rats. This made the SNES version the laughing stock of the Wolfenstein 3D community, and it is difficult to find information about it. These are the main changes and additions:
