After some hesitation I decided to put up a menu screenshot for WormWars 3. First, it shows the amount of option this game has, and second, I think it shows off Christian Knudsen's mastery of the text mode better than a gameplay screenshot could, though you really have to use the menu to fully apprediate it. WormWars 3 is one of the few games that use 50-line text mode.
WormWars is a variation of the old snake game. In this game, one or two players control a snake each, trying to eat as many of the goodies on the screen as possible without bumping into themselves, each other, or the screen border. The more they eat, the longer the snake becomes. A very nice example of a one-player snake game is Miroslav Nemecek's Vlak.
But Wormwars 3 goes a step further. In two-player game, it offers besides the standard score match a death match mode, in which players can attack each other. Weapons can be found as special bonuses or bought for points in the upgrade shop, which can be enabled or disabled seperately.
