Adisak Pochanayon calles Znyk a YATLA (Yet Another Tetris Look-Alike) and says it combines aspects of many games. Actually it is simply Dr. Mario, nothing else, just in a different presentation. The only unconventional element is the height of the playing field, nine rows where between 16 and 25 are common. Not really an improvement, the game quickly becomes repetitive.
