A self taught artist, Andy chose Watercolors as his favorite medium to paint his visions. They most fit his purpose to combine looseness and freedom of colors with the kind-of-photo-realistic look in his paintings - most of all in his portraits.

He says of himself to be "painfully inspired" and sometimes really does show signs of pain to people surrounding him - like staying awake all night working on a painting and sketching a new drawing for a new one that is already gaining shape in his head ...

Andy lives in Vienna, the capital of Austria - he is an active member of the socialist movement in his country.

Disregarding the fact that he has never had any education in any artistic field he is now teaching classes in portraiture, has been asked to design CD-covers for an American recording artist, is very successfully creating designs for Christmas cards and is lucky enough to announce that he has more commissioned paintings to do than his time schedule will allow!

A perfectionist to a "T", Andy still declares that he is "just an absolute beginner" in drawing, painting and all fields of art.

Andy's current project is writing a new portraiture online tutorial for his American and worldwide co-artists to be held this winter. No doubt he is very much looking forward to sharing his knowledge with other artists and his friends!
