Six years after the Beatles' split and four years before John Lennon's violent death EMI released
the first huge compilation set consisting of two albums, the second featuring all the big hits of the group
in their second era of recording from Strawberry Fields Forever to their last single The Long And Winding Road
which was originally recorded for their Let It Be album which was released in 1970.
In 1993 the media was full of Beatles related stories and specials again when the Red and
Blue Album were released on CD.
