I need to share this wonderful miracle from today.
I just requested for a glass of normal Vienna water (which I like the best in comparison to mineral/other soft drinks) along with the menu to a waitress in a restaurant. She very arrogantly replied that normal water is only served with coffee/tea. This hit me against my Indian conditions where guests are treated like god and offering water is something holy.
I tried to diplomatically convince her that I am a regular visitor in this restaurant. She became even ruder upon which I replied politely that I would need to bring the situation to the notice of the management. She dropped the bill and number of her boss on the table and disappeared faster than a horse.
At the end of the meal, I felt that she maybe in a stressful situation as to why she was reacting so much and wished that her self-realization would be such a help to her. A few minutes later the sun began to shine brightly into the dark room. Suddenly I saw her passing by the corner and I requested her for encashment of the bill. Grudgingly she took the bill and her eyes turned into shock. She asked for forgiveness as she double charged the mineral water (which I had reluctantly agreed before dying of thirst) on the bill. She also apologized for rude behavior before and said that she was in real stress situation. I told her to sit down, open hands hands and gave her self-realisation.
Lesson learned: in every conflict situation there is a potential for Self-realization.
Forgot to mention that this lady's behaviour changed so much after the self-realisation. She thanked me for the nice experience with even longer apologies for her rude behaviour. At the end she even invited me for the bottle of mineral water too.
Self-Realisation really helps.
