The bright rooms of the upper stories are complemented by the subdued colors of the basement. Both parts of the house were restored and designed with equal commitment. In some of the lower rooms you may touch the very rock on which the building has been built. In summer, the basement provides refreshing cool, in winter you may gather around a fireplace. Below the terracotta tiles there is an electric underfloor heating system throughout the entire building.
Like many other details, the door on the left is a creation of the Austrian artist Jakob Scheid. His artful designs of doors and chimneys are an important contribution to the individual character of every single room.
