Tanja Schildt, born in Kotka, Finland, is a Master of Arts and
Music Pedagogue. She studied guitar performance and graduated from the
University of Music and Dramatic Arts in
Vienna, Austria (Universität
für Musik
und darstellende Kunst Wien), instructed by professor Brigitte
Zaczek. She got her degree in music
pedagogy at The Helsinki Conservatory as a student of Juan Antonio Muro, receiving
excellent marks on her teaching skills.
As a performing artist, Tanja has given several concerts both in Finland and abroad. She has also had excellent success in international guitar competitions. In addition to solo concerts and competitions, Tanja has performed in various chamber music ensembles, playing music of all centuries. She has attended several music workshops and international guitar master classes supervised by internationally renowned guitarists such as Pavel Steidl, Alvaro Pierri, Carlo Domeniconi, Roland Dyens and Hopkinson Smith.
