Music education

Tanja Schildt, born in Kotka, Finland, is Master of Arts and Music Pedagogue. She studied guitar performance at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna, Austria, instructed by professor Brigitte Zaczek.

In June 2001, Tanja passed the first Diploma Exam (corresponding with the Bachelor of Arts Degree), and the board of examiners gave her an unanimously excellent on her performance.

In spring 2003 she graduate from the same university and receive her Master of Arts degree.

Before moving to Vienna, Tanja attended the Helsinki Conservatory as a student of senior teacher Juan Antonio Muro. 1997, she got her degree in music pedagogy at the Helsinki Conservatory, receiving excellent marks on her teaching skills.

Tanja has deepened her studies by attending international guitar master classes, instructed by internationally renowned professionals like Pavel Steidl, David Russell, Alvaro Pierri, Hopkinson Smith, Roland Dyens, Carlo Domeniconi, Thomas Müller-Pering, Jozef Zsapka, Dieter Kreidler and José Luis Lopatequi. These classes have also widened her views on the internationality of music and on all the possibilities it offers for professionals. Tanja has also participated in several music workshops both in Finland and abroad.
