Tommy is one of the best -
and one of the most lasting friends of mine. He's a musician (git, b) and has
some records out on the market. For details have a look to his page!
Huh, they must already
know me there... ;)
Here are my "most frequently visited sites", in no particular
order.
Since the MGA people really
throw out updates often, I look in there weekly. IMHO, the Millenium is the
best graphics board on the market by now. And they have an excellent driver
support. Also check this page for linux XFree Servers for the Millenium.
Since I am a big fan of flight simulation games, I often check
these pages for updates and news on the upcoming releases of Jane's, and of
course, I always want to stay up to date with what's happening in the
"Wing Commander" universe of Origin.
This is the users group of my current ISP. I will be
providing some content to this site soon, so this might become a good and fast
mirror site for my URL Directory and my
Column.
Very Cool
Websites
Here are some recommendations of what I think are some of the coolest sites
on the web. Give'em a try. They're worth it.
"Ars Electronica" is an annual festival of
comuputer arts and culture. Hosted by the city of linz and some sponsors the
Prix Ars Electronica has become the "Oscar of computer arts". If you
ever come to Linz you *have* to visit the Ars Eletronica Center, where the
Internet Telegarden, and
the CAVE are exhibited. I
had the great pleasure to be there during fall 96 and it was an unforgettable
experience. Although the center is not too large it is packed with
computer-tech gizmos that let the hearts of any computerfreak beat with 166MHz
;-). Believe me you cyberpunks out there - Tis' the place to be! The pages are
bilingual (german/english).
Did you ever want to
"feel" the internet? Do you want to see how the earth breathes? Do
it. On the sensorium.org homepage, one of the winners of the Prix Ars
Electronica.
The Zone is IMHO the best online gaming
interface to date. You can play chess, hearts in a very well done environment.
More and more retail titles are zone-prepared XWing vs. Tie Fighter by
LucasArts is just an example. Besides
that, The Internet Gaming Zone provides a service called "ZoneLAN"
with enables older games that do not support TCP/IP to be played over the
internet, by emulation IPX over TCP. Ever wanted to play Doom, Descent,
NetMech, etc. over the worldwide internet? Just do it on The Zone.
A very cool page if you're looking for multimedia
content or graphics and animation that is "different". A very cool
page with a quality of design seen seldom on the net. B sure to give it a
visit, and check out Jeff's "adults page" if you want something to
think about.
