Miracles
Problem
Solving
Divine supply
After
a first tour in India we were still very new in Sahaja
Yoga, but the idea had come to us to go to Nepal. We asked
Shri Mataji for Her advice and She gave our project Her
blessings, remarking that we absolutely should not worry
about money.
After some time in Kathmandu, some money which was supposed
to be on its way to us from Europe had still not arrived
and we were running out. It was quite a new situation for
us, to be without money and not worrying. One day we had
only five rupees left in our pockets, but we still trusted
in the words of our Mother. Two days later, a Nepali
gentleman knocked at our door. He had heard that we cooked
very well and he asked us to run of the newly-built
restaurant in his hotel. We were delighted, but we told him
that we had no money at all and would be unable to advance
three months rent and a deposit on the furniture, as would
be normal. When he heard this, he was silent for a little
while.
“I want a foreigner to run my restaurant. Whatever
you need, I shall lend you,” he said.
After two week’s preparation we started the
restaurant and from the first day the place was packed
full. Then after some time the high season was about to
start. This happened to be at the end of the month of
Ramadan in Calcutta, whose Muslim butchers supplied us with
all our meat. The Muslims were all busy celebrating the end
of the fast and were not working and we had no meat for our
fridge. About the same time our deep freeze broke down and
we could only stock about sixty kilograms of meat in our
fridge. We told ourselves that if we did not have enough
meat we would just serve vegetarian dishes for a while.
Now my husband Herbert started using the meat we had and
after a week we had already consumed seventy-five kilos,
but the fridge seemed as full as ever. In the second week,
the celebrations for the end of Ramadan were still in full
swing and so again there was no meat delivery. But we kept
taking more and more meat out and still the amount left in
the fridge did not diminish. In the third week, the plane
which flew up from Calcutta with the meat broke down, so
again we had no delivery.
“I feel a bit strange, taking more and more of the
meat and still there is plenty left in the fridge,”
said Herbert.
“What do you think, why this happens? It’s our
Holy Mother doing this for us. Maybe She does not want us
to worry,” I said, laughing. Anyway, after that the
normal supply resumed and the fridge would empty in the
normal way. However, when we calculated how much meat we
must have used in those three weeks, we realized that we
had taken two hundred and eighty five kilos from the
fridge, whereas we knew for sure that it contained only
sixty.

Shri Mataji`s
food never seems to go off
Shri
Mataji did a lot of the cooking for us when She came to our
house in Scotland and had a seminar there with about thirty
of us, some very new to Sahaja Yoga and many of us with bad
problems. Shri Mataji explained that if She cooked for us,
Her vibrations in the food would help us in many ways.
The strange thing about the cooking was this. We had a big
catering-style fridge and Mother made a chicken stew type
dish which we didn’t finish, so we put the leftovers
in the fridge for another day. Then after Mother had left,
about a week later, I made another chicken stew and also
put it in the same fridge and forgot about it. About three
weeks after this we suddenly remembered the two stews, but
whereas my stew had gone completely rotten, Shri
Mataji’s was as fresh as the day it had been made,
almost a month before.

Moving heavy
things
On
that same weekend that the miracle happened with the
endless cement, at Brompton Square in London, some people
were supposed to come and visit the house. Many of the men
were moving furniture. Shri Mataji asked some strong young
Italians to move Her bed in solid wood and they were trying
to push it, but could not move it a
centimetre.
Eleanore
Three of us had to move a very heavy wooden bed. We were at
the foot of the bed on our knees and we pushed and pushed,
but the bed didn't move. Duilio
I
was in the room, packing Shri Mataji’s suitcase. Shri
Mataji approached the bed and just pushed it with Her knee
and the bed moved. Eleanore
At that moment I turned my head and I saw Shri Mataji
touching with her knee the foot of the bed. In the same
moment, the bed flew against the wall in the right position
and we fell on the ground.
Duilio
The Italian yogis said, “Ah,” in big shock and
surprise. Shri Mataji laughed and She said, “Well,
after all, I am Adi Shakti, so it’s normal that I can
push this bed!” Everybody was in awe in front of Her.
Eleanore
On that same day, there was a big wardrobe for clothes. The
men needed to move this cupboard and no one could move it.
But when Shri Mataji just touched it with Her finger, it
moved easily.

The magic key
One
time, before leaving Cabella for India, Shri Mataji called
me and a few others to do some packing. We were in one of
the bedrooms filling up suitcases. Shri Mataji asked us to
close a certain suitcase, but it was over full, and the
things were spilling out everywhere. We could not close it.
‘Stand on the suitcase, and Sandeep will close
it,’ She said to me. Now I am almost a hundred kilos.
But we still could not close it, so She smiled.
‘Bring the suitcase over to Me, close to Me’.
She just put Her right foot on the case, and after that we
could close the case without any effort at all.
On another occasion I brought a briefcase to Shri Mataji.
Originally it had come from Tunisia, but somehow it had
been lying in a shop in Como for some time, and I brought
it up to Cabella. It was one of those cases which had a
lock which was numbers, but none of us knew the correct
number. Shri Mataji asked Her grandson to try to open the
briefcase. So he tried every number he could think of.
Triple zero, one two, and so on. After about five minutes
he gave up because he couldn’t do it. Shri Mataji was
smiling.
‘Bring it to Me,’ She said, and looking and
smiling at, She moved Her fingers on the lock, and did not
even look at it. After a few seconds there was a
‘click!’ and both of the locks were open. She
wasn’t even looking at the numbers, and still nobody
had any idea what the numbers were.

Hearing
without ears
In the early 1970’s when
there were just a handful of us in Sahaja Yoga in London,
we met a few times with Shri Mataji in a house just over
the road from Kings Cross. It was in this house that we had
one of the first experiences of actually hearing through
the Sahasrara Chakra at the top of the head.
“Put your hands over your ears and cover them up
completely and you’ll still be able to hear Me just
the same,” She said, and we could. We had our hands
over our ears and we could actually clearly hear what Shri
Mataji was saying because we were hearing through our
Sahasraras. Our Sahasraras had really opened. So that was
perhaps the first amazing experience, apart from feeling
the vibrations, that we all had.

Helpful policeman
When I
was a journalism student I found it quite difficult to
complete my homework assignments, with my six month old
child. Our professor had asked that we attend a court
session and report on the details of the proceedings. If,
however, that proved impossible, the alternative was to
read a police blotter, which details daily police activity
and reports on a crime. I could not go to the court, but
rushed off, child in arms, to the local police station for
a look at the blotter.
“I'm sorry, you can't read that. It's not for the
public,” an officer told me. This seemed strange, but
I left disappointed. The assignment was due in the
following day, so I put the matter in bandhan and proceeded
to pick my husband up from work. As I placed my young
daughter in her car seat, I inattentively placed my wallet
on the car’s roof. I jumped in the car and drove off
and only when I arrived home did I realize my wallet was
missing. The phone was ringing as I opened the door.
“Are you missing something?” the voice on the
other end asked. Within minutes, the wallet was returned
and, as I chatted with the day’s hero, I learned he
was an off duty policeman. Eagerly he shared his police
book with me and before long I was on my way to an
“A” homework paper.

Stolen
jewellery
The
India tour was coming to a close and we began packing for
the long trip home. I had bought many lovely gifts and
acquired quite a few saris and clothes. At last everything
seemed ready, but I had forgotten something important, my
red jewellery box with the jewellery from my recent wedding
in India. I decided to put it in my suitcase, and wrapped
it carefully in saris so it was well hidden, in the middle.
I later wondered if I should have squeezed this precious
box into my carry-on and kept it with me.
After some twenty-seven hours we landed in Los Angeles with
barely any time to spare to catch a flight to Boston. They
told us our luggage would arrive some time after us. It
arrived safely a few days later, but clearly my suitcase
had been broken into and some things had been taken,
including the red jewellery box. What a blow I felt. Why
hadn't I followed my intuition and carried the precious box
with me? I prayed to the divine aspects of Shri Lakshmi and
to Shri Hanumana.
The next day another Sahaja Yogi from Boston, unpacked her
suitcase from India. She came to me with my red wedding
jewellery box. “Is this yours?” She said. It
had been lying on the top of her case when she opened it.
Did the thief change his mind? The whole kitchen was filled
with the vibrations coming from that red box and everyone
could feel them pouring out of the box. I was filled with
joy.

Making food
easy for digestion
Some
years after I had my Realization, I went to stay in a house
in Scotland which two Sahaja Yogis were running as a bed
and breakfast facility. Two ladies arrived from the south
of England, and stayed a few days, and we cooked all their
meals, not just breakfast. We vibrated all the food, as was
our habit anyway, and gave it to our visitors.
After a few days one lady asked us what we were putting in
the food, and we were a bit nervous, in case it had made
her ill. But it turned out that she had a chronic digestive
complaint, and for the first time in years, since eating
our food, she was able to digest everything normally. We
told her that the only thing we were doing was one of our
Sahaja Yoga techniques. They became interested and received
Self Realization, and learnt how to do it for themselves.
