Our initiative is implemented on the ground in Uganda through a local NGO called SAVE STREET CHILDREN UGANDA (SASCU). It was founded by the young man who approached Leo and Ernst that evening in 2008 at the Speke Restaurant, BYRAHUANGA INNOCENT. Byaruhanga was once was a street child himself, but had the fortune to receive education. He has meanwhile acquired multiple skills as a social worker so that he now serves as program coordinator at SASCU. Essentially, SASCU has been funded almost exclusively by HOPE-F-U-L over the past years.
